We thank you for 50 years of support.
Our organisation was founded in 1974 and has a proud history in managing plant material for various IP owners while setting high standards for plant improvement. We also cherish our long-standing relationships with other international plant improvement organisations. Our shareholders carry the well-being of the industry at heart and SAPO has been investing heavily over the years to maintain the highest standards.
Our core focus will continue to be on maintaining and managing plant material to the highest phytosanitary status while supporting the rules and regulations for certified plant material in South-Africa. We have a plant pathology laboratory and maintain more than 400 different varieties at our Head office in Stellenbosch. We are actively involved in plant genetics and manage more than 350 varieties for more than 50 local-and international Plant breeder organisations.
At SAPO Trust we are excited to continue serving our clients as a centre of excellence for the next 50 years by providing a full suite of plant improvement services to both local and international customers.
